Pittenweem is in the East Neuk, a part of the Kingdom of Fife in Scotland known for its picturesque historic coastal villages and fishing industry.
It's just a few miles from the famous university town of St.Andrews - also known as "the home of golf" - and just along the coast are Elie, St.Monans and Crail with Anstruther and the Scottish Fisheries Museum under two miles away.
The Fife Coastal Path runs through Pittenweem along to other East Neuk villages and, for nature lovers, the Isle of May National Nature Reserve lies just off the coast.
